Genealogy Nuts Monday, August 9th, 1:30pm The Genealogy Nuts meeting will be on August 9th at 1:30 pm. The discussion will cover a variety of genealogy news and programs. Also information from Midwestern Roots genealogy conference will be discussed.
On the Road to Ft. Wayne: Sept. 16 &17 Looking for a Speaker? Is your organization looking for a program with an historical or genealogical flavor? Indiana Room manager Cindy Rutledge has a several programs that might be of interest. The programs range from half an hour to two hours in length. The presentations may be tailored to your organization’s needs. Groups that would like to visit the library can arrange for a program and/or a library tour.Available in the Indiana Room: The book Danville by Jeff Baldwin is available for $23.75 The book is part of Arcadia Publishing’s Images of America series. It is filled with Danville photographs, many never have been published. A part of the proceeds will benefit the Hendricks County Museum. Copies of the History of Hendricks County 1914-1976 with the index is still available in the Indiana Room. The price has been reduced to $10 for both books and the proceeds also go to the Hendricks County Historical Museum. |
