The library has computers available for public use in each department. These computers have
access to the Internet as well as Microsoft Office software installed (Word, Excel and Powerpoint).
Patrons must present a DPL library card or photo ID to sign up to use the computers. The computers
share a black &-white laser printer, which costs $.10 per page to print out. They also have access to a networked color copier/printer,
which costs $.25 per page to print out.
Youth Services also has 2 computers received through a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
These computers have no access to the Internet but have a variety of educational software installed that
children can play.
There are black & white photocopiers in each department, with the Adult Services Department having a color
photocopier/printer/scanner. Black & white photocopies are $.10 a page; color photocopies are $.25 a page.
Patrons also have access to a fax machine--incoming faxes are $.10 per page. To send a fax costs $1.00 per page.
There is an Atlas 710 Video Magnifier located in Adult Services, which allows patrons
with visual impairments to enlarge the text of their book or magazine.
The magnifier was generously donated by Telesensory.
